Our Movement
We are a diverse coalition of environmental justice advocates and community groups from across Southern California united by our shared struggle: Our communities are bearing the brunt of the region’s dangerous air pollution problem.
Living next door to oil wells, railyards, ports, refineries and a secondary lead smelter, our communities are overburdened with dangerous pollution and toxic chemicals that unnecessarily threaten the health and safety of our families each and every day.
We are united in our belief that the South Coast Air District (AQMD) can and should do more to help all communities breathe easier. It’s time for the AQMD to step up and strengthen regulatory oversight of industrial polluters.
